Glenn Staller
Born November, 1966 in Philadelphia, Pa., Glenn
began studying the guitar at the age of thirteen. As the result of a move to California
and chance meeting with the renowned guitarist Jose Rey de la Torre,
Glenn began his Classical guitar studies with Maestro
Torre. Later studying with pianist Julian White, Jazz guitarist Bill Tapia, Flamenco
guitarist Chuscales, & Guitarist/Composer Dusan Bogdanovic at the San Francisco
Conservatory of Music.
The width and breadth of his repertoire and his unique ability to integrate
musical styles, from classical and contemporary to Flamenco, Brazilian, Argentinean,
and jazz, is a particular feature of his work. His repertoire ranges from Scarlatti
and Bach to Gershwin, Debussy, Jobim and Brubeck.
He has appeared in equally diverse concert settings including live television
& radio performances, Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts, Le Petit
Trianon, Valley Forge Convention Center, Kennedy Center, and Cowell Theater.
Other concert settings include numerous wineries, vineyards, and resorts within
the Bay Area.
Currently Glenn is devoting his
time towards upcoming concerts, teaching, writing instructional books &
videos, recordings, and establishing an East Bay Guitar Society.
Glenn currently teaches in Pleasant
Hill, Danville, & Berkeley. He will soon be offering classes in the Livermore/Pleasanton
